Butter EP Ian Jeffreys (August 15, 2013) “Butter showed up on shoot day to find that they were sharing an enormous room with the photo crew and two dozen others, creating a racket that would make it difficult to capture high-quality vocals. Accustomed to finding solutions on the fly, Butter made some phone calls. “Our saving grace was our rental company, Studio 101 NOLA,” Jeffreys recalls. “Our contact there, DJ Boudreaux, found a friend with a collapsible vocal booth. It was pricey, but it was our only shot to do this right – without clean vocals, the whole day would be wasted. So DJ shows up with what looks like a church confessional booth. Apparently, a dentist with a songwriting hobby had his cabinetmaker build a vocal booth in his basement, then sold it when he moved. It was a wacky contraption, but it saved our asses.”  Youtube video “Football On Your Phone

Joe Mora (July 5, 2013) Bass – House of Broken Promises, Backline Chief for Trey Songz: “Professional. DJ’s place has a cool, down home vibe, great hospitality and good gear. Nice selection of boutique guitar heads as well. Also ask about his custom drums!” Talk to DJ! He is totally professional and a pleasure to work with.”

Dave Malone (Lead Guitar –The Radiators, The Malone Brothers, Raw Oyster Cult) “New Orleans has tons of musicians, but believe it or not, a serious shortage of quality “for rent by the hour” rehearsal spaces. I am extremely pleased to announce that I found one that works great for me: STUDIO 101 NOLA…at 1001 S. Broad at Euphrosine (the entrance gate is actually at 3928 Euphrosine) …Good rooms, good gear, great prices, off street parking (and you don’t have to scramble to move your car after unloading your gear). Everything you need.”

Lenny Zenith (November 22, 2013) “DJ has made a lot of improvements, and it’s a great place for regular or occasional rehearsals when you need a new orleans rehearsal room. The parking/load in area is gritty with a little outside sitting area, and the rooms I’ve been in sound great. I don’t have anything else to compare it to, but I think it’s the tits! He’s very professional, and a charm to deal with.” (December, 2012) “UPDATE: This place is great! it’s professional DJ is awesome, and we did excellent work! I can’t wait to hear recorded tracks. The big room is perfect for rockin’ out and sounded great.” (August 23, 2012) “This studio is still a work in progress, but located in a funky industrial area near Earhart, DJ was very accommodating and professional! We had a mixup and he made it right. The room was cozy and well-equipped with p.a., amps, and a nice drum kit! Wow, who could ask for more, the rates are pretty decent too! Will definitely be back there in December for the next show!”

Cassandra Goins (July 9, 2013) “DJ and his wife, bent over backwards to make sure that we have a good experience. We found this studio online, when looking for rehearsal space for South African singer Simphiwe Dana, who performed at Essence 2013. The room was large and comfortable, and well equipped. Like I said DJ and his wife gave us complete Southern Hospitality. They made sure that we were satisfied and provided us with a nice array of snacks and drinks, and the homemade lemonade was THE BOMB. Its great when you discover little gems like Studio 101 NOLA, they made the South Africans and Yankees, feel right at home. And, I know this is our new rehearsal home whenever we are in Nawlins!”

Adrian T. (January 14, 2014) “Amazing spot along with very reasonable prices. A MUST for serious musicians/ bands looking for a nice rehearsal and recording spots.”

Toomas Soosaar (May 26,2013) “Awesome studio experience, great staff, looking forward to the booking another session!”

Jay Dufour (May 26, 2013) “This is a great facility for jamming, recording, hanging out, etc. My band, Shotgun Double will definitely be back.”

Wade R. (April 30, 2013) “Good times with DJ and studio 101 staff and facilities, honest and professional in all aspects, great place to rehearse and record!!!”

Ben V. (May 25, 2013) “This is a great place to rehearse! DJ and his staff were very helpful and friendly…helped us load in, set up, plug in and get to playing really quickly. Firstly, there is secure off-street parking next to the loading dock. They’ve got nice amps to play through, a nice PA, fat drum kit, congas, music stands, guitar stands, a sweet yamaha digial piano, plus lots of other toys for makin noise! There’s a comfy couch in the big room if you want to have friends over. The rates are super reasonable too. It was an all-round great experience, and I’d recommend this place to anyone who needs a rehearsal space. They’ve got a couple different size rooms to meet your needs. We’ll definitely be coming back.”

Flittermouse Films (Jan 8, 2017) Owned by husband and wife D.j. and Ashley Boudreaux, Studio 101 NOLA is truly an incredible recording and rehearsal facility for both musicians and filmmakers alike. With state of the art equipment, the relaxing, yet inspiring, creative space proved to be invaluable to Flittermouse Films as we worked with sound engineer Derek Jude Fogarty of D I Y, Inc. to complete post-production of our first feature film, Rules We Live By.  More than willing to open Studio 101’s doors for us any time at all, Flittermouse Films could not have accomplished what we have accomplished, and what we continue to accomplish, with our film without the unwavering support and generosity of the Boudreauxs. Simply put, we cannot speak highly enough of Studio 101 NOLA’s facilities or its owners, and we look forward to working on future projects knowing that we have the Boudreauxs and their amazing studio in our corner.
